Water For Elephants
Book Review

I have finished this book, Water for Elephants, that I have never read before. It is a book about love and murder, taken place in a circus and in the present. Where Jacob must fight to stay alive, after his parent are killed leaving him a foster at a young age. He chooses to join the circus and his future is changed forever. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, Sara Gruen is a spectacular writer, who really brought the characters and the time period alive. If I were to rate this book it would be 3.5 out of 5 stars. I rate it this because in some chapters there is a lot of sexual content that I did not intend for, at times I even felt it was not needed. But, on the positive side, I loved how the author often changes time periods from when the main character, Jacob is young and in the circus at twenty-three and then switches to him in an elderly home dying of old age. It is a refreshing way of writing that I appreciate very much! I would recommend this book for adults and young adults who do not mind slight intimate encounters in very few chapters, then it is the book for you!!
